Have you noticed that so many of the things we do every day feel rushed?
Showering, brushing your teeth, having a coffee, cooking… we move through it all as if we’re constantly in a hurry—even when we’re not.
It’s as if pausing for a moment to be present means we’re wasting time, or not using those seconds on something more “productive.”
We live in a world where we feel like we always have to be doing something, because that’s what we see on social media. And honestly, it’s exhausting. By the end of the day, all we want to do is lie down and scroll endlessly on our phones.
And then… comes the guilt.
With everything we consume, we become overstimulated. I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’ve lost a bit of my sense of individuality. I don’t even know what I truly want anymore.
Do I want to be a gardener? A painter? A fashion designer? An interior designer? A chef? A cat person or a dog person? Everything I see shows me a life that suddenly feels like something I want.
And somehow, I end up feeling lost.
I’ve even disconnected from the things I used to love—art, yoga, cooking.

Now I want to do everything: open a Pilates and matcha studio, become a makeup influencer, be a “perfect” mom (whatever that even means), open a daycare, create an art studio for kids, study cosmetology, find a job…
All of these ideas live in my head because it’s what I consume every day. A world full of possibilities—but no action. I get overwhelmed, I freeze… and I end up doing nothing.
Well, not exactly nothing. I scroll on TikTok and Instagram.
If you feel like this too, then maybe it’s time for a pause.
A real pause.
A moment to stop everything around you and reconnect with who you are.
A pause to do things slowly.
A pause to breathe.
A pause to create.
A pause to move.
A pause to cook.

A conscious pause—with no phone nearby.
A pause without judgment or guilt.
A pause to reconnect with yourself.
This is something we need to practice every day. And at first, it won’t be easy. Every time you create space, you’ll feel the urge to grab your phone and fill that silence.
But don’t.
Those empty spaces matter. That’s where connection happens. That’s where you begin to understand who you are and what you want. That’s where creativity shows up.

I want to invite you to try something simple.
Choose one activity you enjoy. Give yourself 10 or 15 minutes—starting small makes it easier to stay consistent. Put your phone somewhere you can’t see it, and fully immerse yourself in what you’re doing.
Be present. Pay attention.
It can be something simple: cooking a meal, painting something small, washing your face and doing your skincare slowly and intentionally, putting together an outfit, walking around your block, following a 10-minute yoga flow on YouTube, or doing a short meditation.
What matters is how you do it—with presence.
And then notice how you feel afterward.
What happens when you start doing one thing a day with intention, without rushing?
I’m going to try it—and I’ll tell you what happens.

Do you want to join me? ✨
