What Makes Me Feel Like a Goddess: Reconnecting With Feminine Energy

The other day, my friend Caro texted me with a question that instantly caught my attention. “What is it that you do consciously to be more in touch with your feminine energy?”

I was busy when I read it, so I told her I needed to take my time to answer—because I loved the subject and, honestly, I had a lot to say. The question stayed with me. I kept thinking about it while folding laundry, making lunch, running after the kids. What does connect me to my feminine energy?

At first, the answers were obvious. Dressing up. Doing my makeup. Following my skincare routine. Matching my underwear (yes, that’s a thing). But then I realized—I don’t do those things every day. And yet, I still feel deeply connected to my femininity.

So what is it?

For me, the core of feminine energy is choosing to feel good. It’s not about looking polished or ticking off aesthetic boxes—it’s about being present in the small, beautiful rituals of daily life.

It’s slow mornings.
It’s cooking from scratch, even if it’s just a simple soup.
It’s decorating my dishes, even when I’m eating alone.
It’s making coffee as a ritual, not as a robotic caffeine fix.
It’s turning everyday routines into moments of connection—with myself.

When I finally wrote all this to Caro, she immediately felt connected to that idea. She replied with something that struck me: how important it is to step out of our alpha energy—that go-go-go, do-it-all, high-achieving mindset—and remember we don’t have to constantly prove our worth by being everything, all at once.

Yes, we can do it all. But do we want to? And more importantly, are we doing it because it feels good—or because we feel the pressure to justify our time, especially as stay-at-home moms?

That conversation brought up something so real. We both realized how often we felt the need to “add more” to our already full plates—not out of passion, but guilt. As if the endless list of cooking, cleaning, folding, caring, nurturing wasn’t enough. As if we had to start a side hustle or launch a business just to feel “productive.”

But isn’t nurturing a home, raising children, and creating beauty in the everyday one of the most powerful things a woman can do?

For me, feminine energy doesn’t come from hustle. It comes from intention. From choosing pleasure. From creating a space—physically and emotionally—where I feel held, inspired, and alive.

I feel most like a goddess when I’m being creative, when I’m moving my body, when I’m nurturing my home. When I’m not performing, but just being—and that is when my inner Venus shows up effortlessly.

This doesn’t mean I don’t love a glam moment. I am a girly girl (or should I say, a woman who celebrates her softness and her power). But tapping into my feminine energy isn’t about how I look—it’s about how I feel.

So here’s your reminder, from one goddess to another:
You don’t need to do more to be worthy.
You don’t need to hustle to be productive.
And you definitely don’t need permission to slow down and just feel good.

That, my friend, is the real glow-up.
